What it’s “about”: Boreas tries to play it nice, but reverts to steel and ice…And steals and rapes his southern wife

How it lands to my eco-sensibility: This whole book should come with a trigger warning. Nice to see Boreas admit that the mask isn’t worth the effort – reminds me of the end of that Neil La Butte film “In the Company of Men”, where Aaron Eckhart’s character decides not to bother to pretend any more.
