We have not much to say about this event, which took place in June, at present, but we will have a report when there has been time to assess all that happened. In the meantime, one or two choice morsels to whet your appetite.
Two days after the Global Forum green summit half the trees in Crown Square were felled. Graham Stringer, leader of the City Council said the trees had been axed to open up the centre of the square and make it more user friendly. “It was too cluttered as things were.” he said, “This is more a cull-ing than deforestation.” Unity says that the square now looks barren.
