Primary involvement arena

(Mahon and Waddock, 1992) further propose that firms pay attention to societal problems depending on whether these affect their “primary involvement arena” (area of activities related to core mission and resource flows) or “secondary involvement arena” (areas that affect firms, but are not central to their mission).
