Tyranny of Stucturelessness

Excellent essay written by Jo Freeman in the late 1960s, pointing out that the absence of a ‘chair’ and ‘secretary’ and declarations that ‘all are welcome/anyone can speak’ does not, actually, remove the problem of power. In fact, by denying it and rendering it invisible, it can entrench power/dominance relations.
