We’re just not acting fast enough. We’ve got one foot lightly (VERY) lightly on the brake, and a lead foot on the gas (aka accelerator). And there is a brick wall/cliff/choose your metaphor ahead. Ooops.

Btw, there is a beautiful fearful symmetry in this. Hamburgers in 2023 telling us trouble ahead, when in 1988 NGOs met in Hamburg and tried to get momentum for a 50% cut in emissions by 2005. I totally agree, “Social Change” is what is needed, nothing we are currently doing will stop the acceleration in environmental degradation (climate change). In fact much that we are doing, or propose to do, will only make matters worse.
Not even the greediest of us can believe in continual GROWTH and GROWTH is the real problem.
