“Dealing with bureaucracy like wrestling with a vat of jello…”

“Frankly, it had also pretty much peaked. Dealing with the university bureaucracy was like wrestling with a vat of jello, and my “radical” proposals were all soon lost in a morass of committees and commissions, being “studied” into oblivion.”

Harris, D. 1982) Dreams Die Hard, p.157

Yep. Again, a feature not a bug.

  1. Marc, the issue isn’t with “bureaucracy”, rather it’s with those that put them there. Yes, bureaucracy’s have an advantage (they get paid and have all the time in the world), but is US who are really at fault.
WE as a general rule are reactive, WE don’t keep our eyes on the ball, WE are too trusting (or lazy) and suffer as a result.
