To be clear about what I am and am not saying

I am NOT saying we don’t need policy change, that we do not need to pressure the state for different regulations, different investment models, subsidies etc. I am not a Luddite or a primitivist or a libertarian.

I am NOT saying we should ignore the state or corporations or whatever.

I AM saying that having a theory of change that amounts to little more than asking for a band aid is likely to end badly. How do I know? I’ve been paying attention since the beginning of international climate politics in the late 1980s…
