Technological anchoring

We speak of technological anchoring when the technical characteristics of a novelty (e.g. new technical concepts) become defined by the actors involved and, hence, more specific to them. Initially definition may cover just a few technical characteristics but in an on-going process technological anchoring can lead to further specification.
