On knowing (how) to walk away (and when to run)

Couple of things here.

First up, the song “Angel of the Morning” a big hit some 40+ years ago for Juice Newton. Lyrics are about, well, how to break it clean. What Erica Jong called a “zipless fuck”

There’ll be no strings to bind your hands
Not if my love can’t bind your heart
There’s no need to take a stand
For it was I who chose to start
I see no need to take me home
I’m old enough to face the dawn

Second up, that scene near the end (spoilers, obvs) Good Will Hunting where Ben Affleck gives guidance to Matt Damon’s Will on how to leave without looking back, without saying goodbye.

This? This is just how my brain works, for better or worse.
